2006 Concrete Canoe Team Wins Mid-Atlantic Regional Competition

Drexel University’s student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers takes home first place at the Mid-Atlantic Regional competition once again. The team competed April 28-29th at the University of Pittsburgh against Bucknell University, University of Delaware, Temple University, University of Maryland (3rd), University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown (2nd), and Villanova University.
This is the team’s 9th consecutive year representing the Mid-Atlantic Region at the National Concrete Canoe Competition. The National Competition will bring over 20 teams together at Oklahoma State University June 15-17th. The group will compete in a number of sprint and endurances races as well as an oral presentation and overall canoe design and appearance.
