Alex Lannan Travels for Engineers without Borders Project
Over the past few months a group of Drexel students have formed a
group called Engineers Without Borders. EWB works with developing
communities to improve their quality of life through the implementation
of environmentally sustainable, equitable, and economical engineering
projects while developing internationally responsible engineers and
engineering students. We
work with professional chapters as well as other EWB student chapters
from other colleges around the United States. Alex Lannan will be traveling
with Rowan University's EWB Group to El Salvador. During their week
long trip the group will peform a site assessment. Alex, along with
help from the Drexel Chapter of EWB, will work on the design of a water
filtration system for the village. The group will travel back
to El Salvador later in the year, to build the system with help from
Rowan University and the people of El Salvador.
