Mentorship Student Finalist in Engineering Fair

Brittany Hsu, a high school junior and participant in Drexel’s 2008 Summer Mentorship Program was a Finalist in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, the largest precollege fair in the world. Brittany won a 4th Place Grand Award in the Environmental Management Category and best in category awards from both the US Army and the Office of Naval Research. In total Brittany won over $11,000 in prizes and scholarships. Brittany’s work was based on research completed under the supervision of Dr. Patrick Gurian and Dr. Arun Kumar (CAEE) during her Drexel Summer Mentorship Program.
