REU Engineering Cities Renewal

The Engineering Cities Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) site has been renewed
by the NSF for three years and will run beginning in the summer of 2010. The Engineering Cities
REU program at Drexel provides cutting-edge summer research opportunities in the emerging
field of urban Engineering. For ten weeks in the summer, ten undergraduate students from
all over the country will conduct research working closely with Drexel faculty on some of the
most pressing engineering problems facing the rapidly growing urban world. The site codirectors
are Drs. Mira Olson and Patrick Gurian. Senior investigators involved in the site are
Drs. Trish Gallagher, Joe Wartman, Franco Montalto, Chuck Haas, Frank Moon, Christian Hunold, David Urias, Gena Ellis,
